For many years he held the role of Musical Director for the National Theatre and Royal Shakespeare Company and has played in many major venues. Frank Sebastian is an in demand accomplished saxophonist with a remarkable beautiful tone who has composed a huge catalogue of original tunes.
Dan Banks is a gifted piano player and composer who has released several albums under his name during which he collaborated with Paul Higgs https://danbanks.co.uk/. He holds a PhD in music and co-leads the Kent Youth Jazz Orchestra.
Simon Wood is a versatile hard swinging double bassist who plays in a variety of jazz bands as well as classical orchestras.
Elmer van der Hoek is a local jazz drummer who has been organising monthly jazz gigs and jams in Colchester for the last 15 years.

Invisible Poets is a fast-growing online poetry group, currently with a 70k+ worldwide membership. The group has two main missions: the first, to provide a platform for emerging poetic talent within a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment; and secondly, to uphold our ethos of Poetry Against Poverty. We accomplish this via our book releases through Wheelsong Publishing (CEO Steve Wheeler), where our membership contributes their works to events such as this, anthologies, or individual collection releases—the proceeds from which are donated to our chosen charity, Save the Children.
The Roadshow events showcase a collection of poets local to each individual location, as well as our one and only Steve Wheeler. With great live poetry sets interlaced with interviews and talks on book releases, our charitable goals and successes, as well as an open mic session (limited, so get your names down early!), it should prove a fantastical, varied, and fun evening of poetry! The entire event will also be live-streamed across our online membership - a perfect opportunity for exposure to a larger audience for those brave enough to join in!

Eleanor Grant ‘Inside Me’ tour
Inspired by the music of Joni Mitchell, The Carpenters, Simon & Garfunkel, and a sprinkle of Sabrina Carpenter, Eleanor Grant presents the “Inside Me" tour, named after her upcoming debut single. Her collection of original songs aim to heal the hiding heart, inviting you in to a truly intimate live music experience.
Hailed as “one of Britain’s greatest talents” (Hollywood in Vienna 2019), Eleanor is a singer and double bass player who has been writing music since the age of 17. As someone who sings in so many different styles, it’s taken a while to discover her sound as an artist. Versatility lies at the core of her identity, regularly touring Europe and Asia as a vocal soloist with Avatar, Titanic, and Howard Shore’s Lord of the Rings in Concert, requiring her to move seamlessly across different styles of music. She studied double bass at the Royal Academy of Music in London and is one half of the multi-genre duo ‘Eleanor and Gus’. However, fast forward to 2025, Eleanor feels that now after 8 years of writing, she has finally collated a collection of music that feels true to her inner self.
"I’ve always been so conflicted as an artist who loves singing and writing in so many different genres. I’m never going to put myself into a box, but I can wholeheartedly say that this set of songs are equivalent to my cosy every day jumper. I would be happy singing these songs every day of the year, and that doesn’t mean that I want to abandon the rest of my musical wardrobe, I’ve just finally written songs that truly feel like home.”

Local ceramicists and print makers will showcase their stunning creations, turning our event into a true feast for the senses.

Free entry, our day time market continues with the café Patch serving breakfast, brunch & lunch menu with some added market treats.
